Cate Fierro
Cate Fierro has one of the strongest voices to hit the Twin Cities music scene. She is one of the lead singers in THE IRRESISTIBLES, a soul R&B Band led by legendary and award winning frontman, Mick Sterling also performing in MICK STERLING & HIS BAND and enjoys their newest project, A Band Called SOUL. She has her own band, THE CATE FIERRO BAND and performs acoustically with Joshua Stigen. Cate has also begun her own tribute show STRONGER THAN PRIDE ~ the songs of SADE that is premiering February 20th, 2016.

Fierro released her first solo album in August of 2014 called Legacy. It is a timeless collection of old and new soul / rock with originals and covers worthy of covering. This was a special project to Cate and most of all, her daughters are also featured on a track. Truly an amazing Legacy in the making.

Cate is currently performing in other tribute shows: ELTONSONGS the early songs of Elton John and Bernie Taupin, BEAUTIFUL VISION a tribute to Van Morrison, FEELIN’ ALRIGHT the works of Joe Cocker, E STREET SHUFFLE DETROIT MUSCLE the crucial songs of Bruce Springsteen and Bob Seger, THE TENDERNESS SESSIONS reviewing Otis Redding, Sam & Dave and Wilson Pickett, MEMPHIS & THE MEANTIMES showcasing the beautiful songs from the Grand Ol Oprey and Sun Records, and of course THE MONKEES hit songs from Mikey, Davy, Peter and Mike.

Fierro and Sterling have also teamed up to create one of Minnesota’s most beautiful Christmas shows of all time: AN ANDY WILLIAMS & BING CROSBY CHRISTMAS sharing the songs of their most famous Christmas albums featuring a 19 piece band complete with string and horn sections and with special guest Ben Utecht and stunning line up of Mary Jane Alm, Aimée Lee, Shalo Lee and Lisi Wright. This is surely not to be missed in 2016!

Cate has also performed with fantastic groups such as GARY D. & THE FABULOUS ARMADILLOS, BILLY SCHERER & THE SOUL PROVIDERS, recorded on 10 projects ~ featured on 5 of them. She was honored to be a part of the first Twin Cities Christmas sampler, HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS ~ A MINNESOTA CHRISTMAS in 2009 singing “Mary Did You Know” and in 2010 singing “It’s Christmas, Please Come Home” with her sweet girls singing the back ground vocals. Cate is a proud Mom to 3 beautiful, funny and very talented little girls that love to see their Momma on stage. Cate does all the marketing for all of the groups she currently is performing in as well as being a strong supporter of The 30-Days Foundation. In 2012, The 30-Days Foundation held their Bowling Ball Gala in which she recorded one of her newest original songs, “Now’s The Time”. Whether it is singing to her daughters, filled auditoriums or an intimate club setting, Cate provides a soulful vibe with a charming and inviting stage presence.

Katie Gearty
Katie Gearty sings in clubs and studios, at festivals and theaters, and for private events all over the Midwest and beyond. She was vocally trained in classical music styles in high school and college. In 2004, she began working as a professional jazz singer with The Wolverine’s Trio and Tanner Taylor Trio. With a versatile voice that mixes jazz, soul, rock and pop, Katie has been honored to perform with many of Minnesota’s most talented musicians.

Since 2009 Katie has been one of the female leads in Adam Levy’s Twin Cities super group Hookers & Blow. In May 2011, Katie was excited to join Minneapolis Legend Mick Sterling & Cate Fierro in the 9-piece power house soul/r&b band, The Irresistibles. Both bands perform regularly around Minnesota, and some of their favorite venues are The Dakota Jazz Club, The Narrows Saloon in Navarre, and Katie’s favorite NE Mpls hang, Mayslacks. She also regularly performs at Hell’s Kitchen in downtown Minneapolis with a funk induced jazz organ band Vital Organ. Sterling, Fierro and Gearty started the citiess newest Event band SOUL in 2011.

Some of her accomplishments include working with Bruce Henry, The Modd Squad, Debbie Duncan, JD Steele, Christine Rosholt, Arnie Fogel, Steve Clarke & The Working Stiffs, Kurt Jorgensen, Sam Kuusisto, Larry Fountain, stepping in for bands such as Synergy, Bruce Balgaard & The Covers, The Sevilles and The Atlantis Quartet. Her own house band at Nye’s Polonaise Room in NE Minneapolis spawned her 2006 eponymous first CD.

Leslie Ball
Singer, producer, and writer Leslie Ball has performed on theater stages and in music clubs around the region and the country - from a summer serving as the Poet Laureate for the St. Paul Chautauqua Festival, to opening for Ellen DeGeneres at the Guthrie Theater, from singing back-up for Gene Pitney at Carnegie Hall and later for the filming of his concert for Connecticut Public Television, to co-writing and starring in the award-winning concert-play Painting It Red at Berkeley Repertory Theater and Pittsburgh's City Theater.

Leslie's first solo recording Loring Park earned her a Minnesota Music Award for best female songwriter. Many musicians, including Helen Reddy and Nick Lowe, have performed and recorded Leslie's material written as part of the critically acclaimed duo Les Rue and rock band Rue Nouveau. She currently performs with bassist Anthony Cox and guitarist Dean Magraw.

In August of 1991, Leslie launched BALLS Cabaret, a weekly experimental stage for artists of any discipline, at any level of experience. BALLS is now in its fifteenth year and continually wins awards as the best open stage in town. BALLS was cited in The New York Times as a "must-see" while in the Twin Cities and the local press often refers to Leslie as "the den mother of the Twin Cities art community." BALLS Cabaret is a welcoming, supportive community where people of all ages can enjoy a sober environment. As someone in recovery herself, Leslie spent more than a decade in the public schools teaching young people struggling with addiction to drugs and alcohol. Colleagues described her as the "heart and soul" of their school community, and parents continue to testify to her healing impact in their children's lives. Leslie was awarded the Hawkinson Peace and Justice Award for her work as an artist and educator.

Leslie earned her MFA at New York University's Tisch Graduate School of the Arts in Writing for Music Theater. She earned a Master of Divinity (with a concentration in the arts) at United Theological Seminary. She leads a weekly spiritual circle at Hennepin Church in downtown Minneapolis where she also teaches restorative yoga (called Open Yoga) Leslie is a certified yoga instructor registered with Yoga Alliance; she earned her yoga teacher training at Kripalu and Corepower. She leads retreats in spiritual discernment using yoga, music, poetry and ritual.
