Wayne Anthony
Wayne Anthony hails from Springfield Massachusetts and grew up in a very musical family. His Father George was a Professional Crooner performing nightly with Julliard trained pianist, Johnny Brogan and his orchestra for over 40 years. Wayne’s Mother Tomasina is also a very gifted singer, so there was a lot of music, singing and recording going on in their home. Wayne got a taste for performing at the tender age of 6, being called on-stage with his Dad at Toto’s & The Wayside Inn to sing a duet of Blue Moon with his big brother PC.

Wayne began studying drums at the age of 11 under the direction of Chet Nicora, then onto renowned UConn Professor, Mr. Robert Iscernio who also happened to be Frank Sinatra Jr.’s arranger & musical director.

Bob Put Wayne in drumming with his first Big Band experience and that sparked a flame. The art of singing has also remained a core passion of Wayne’s personal expression and deep love of making music. As soon as he landed in the Twin Cities, Wayne was engaged by several groups that he admired and went on to countless recordings, performances and creative collaborations over the past four decades.
